There's a fierce charm to Scotland that needs to be experienced, from the ancient stones to the stunning coastlines, from medieval cities to haunted ancient battlefields. The cool temperatures and drizzle produces lush green vegetation that covers the rolling hills and glens in such beauty that a traveller can (almost) forget the constant penetrating and pervasive damp.
